HALESTORM's LZZY HALE Has 'A Very Amazing Trust Thing Going On' With Her Current Boyfriend

January 14, 2015

HALESTORM singer Lzzy Hale says that "honesty" was the "saving grace" for her current relationship, explaining that she and her boyfriend "have a very amazing trust thing going on" when they are on the road.

Asked by Kaytie The Rock Goddess of the Rock 105.7 WOBG radio station in Fairmont, West Virginia earlier today (Wednesday, January 14) if she finds it difficult to maintain a relationship while she is on tour, Lzzy responded (hear audio below): "In all honesty, I think it's difficult to maintain any relationship, on or off the road, because I've been on both ends of the spectrum. But in all honesty, I'm a firm believer in honesty."

She continued: "In a relationship, you have to literally have everything out there to this other person, and they have to do the same thing with you, or it's not gonna work. I've never been a jealous person either, and as of right now, I'm dating someone who is the same way. So we have a very amazing trust thing going on. And so I'm able to be myself and do my thing and not have to worry, or be stressed all the time, like, 'Oh, man! What if my significant other sees this?' I don't have any of those issues at the moment."

Hale added: "In all honesty, I think you have to work hard, no matter what, at a relationship, but, really, the first couple of steps — laying everything out there — has been total saving graces for me and my relationship."

Lzzy was previously rumored to be dating HALESTORM guitarist Joe Hottinger, something that Lzzy's brother, HALESTORM drummer Arejay Hale, playfully semi-denied (but did not outright dismiss) in a pair of October 2011 tweets.

HALESTORM's third studio album, "Into The Wild Life", will be released in Europe on April 3 and North America on April 7. The first single, called "Apocalyptic", has been posted online and pre-orders for the album began at midnight Monday night (January 12). The group has also announced a series of live dates with THE PRETTY RECKLESS that will begin in late April.

HALESTORM is currently on a new leg of shows opening for country-rock artist Eric Church.
